The last day for risk of frost is different for everyone depending on where you live so starting a garden indoors is just as much fun as planting one outside. Your kids will love filling up old cardboard egg cartons with potting soil, poking a hole in the center, and sewing a few seeds in each hole. Once the plants are planted go on a short nature walk collecting sticks, stones, pinecones, and acorns to add to their fairy garden. They can even add a small tin can or plastic cup as a fairy house. Let your child's imagination run wild with ways to create a special fairy habitat.
